Good Reads

Someone (I think it was from here) recommended that I check out the site, Good Reads. I have and I totally love it.

Just recently, I set up an author’s page there. I started a little blog there because it’s so simple and easy to use (which is exactly what someone like me needs). I’m sure I will still update here – especially any big announcements, but in the meantime, I’ve decided to use Good Reads.

ATiny Phone Calls Update and Pen Names

Hello all!

I’m still fighting my illness but I think it’s finally (FINALLY) going away. Ugh.

I’m back to work, too. I’ve updated ‘Family’ and edited a few of my older stories to put on Kindle, Smashwords, and Lulu. Plus, I had an idea for another story, though I can’t work on it yet until I finish ‘Family’. And, I really, really need to do the rewrite on Jamie’s story. I’m getting there, slowly but surely.

About ‘Phone Calls’…
It’s in the works. I’m still not sure the date it will be out but things are moving. I’ve made it to the ‘Coming Soon’ section of their website which is exciting (for me). The publisher is small which is why it’s taking so long, but they are good people. I’m hoping to have a tentative date soon.

Does anyone out there use a pen name? I’m asking because I use two – one for the self-pubbed books and one for the REAL publisher books. I don’t know why, maybe because I’m actually shy in person. I’d rather not have the attention on me but on my books. Is that crazy?

I’d better get back to work since I’ve been slacking off lately. Thanks for reading and take care of yourselves!

On the Mend…hopefully?

Hey!

Ugh. I’ve been sick and it doesn’t seem to want to go away. I’ve been on antibiotics and all sorts of other stuff but this bug (or whatever) is taking its sweet time leaving.

I posted Shift on Amazon Kindle and Lulu. Not on Smashwords yet. It’s taken forever to edit it because I haven’t felt like doing it. That’s actually why Shift is up and not Jamie’s story – Shift just needed editing while Jamie’s story needs alot of writing! I may even post Robby’s story, first since it takes place the same time Jamie’s does. I don’t know. Sigh.

I haven’t updated anything on FictionPress, either. I hope to do that soon.

Going to go take a nap. Hope to have SOMETHING on FP soon!

Work sucks.
Sinus infections suck.
Ear infections suck.

Needless to say, things really suck right now – hence the reason for no posts or updates.

I’ve been so busy at work that I didn’t even stay home this week while being sick with a sinus and ear infection. I haven’t done any writing, either, because by the time I get home, I usually collapse on the couch or in bed.

I am feeling much better now but I’m supposed to go camping this weekend. I think I’m going to go since I’ll be in a camper and not a tent. Keep your fingers crossed that it doesn’t reinfect me (or whatever). Yes, I’ve packed my antibiotics.

ANYWAY, just wanted to give you a reason for my lack of…anything lately. Monday should be much, much better so I’m hoping to crank out a chapter or two. And, I’ve had an idea for a new story but I don’t want to start it while ‘Family’ is still hanging there.

I also wanted to thank those of you who have purchased anything I have listed on Lulu, Kindle, and Smashwords. Stuff on Kindle has really started to move (not a WHOLE lot but enough for little ol me).

Update!

Hello, everyone!

Just wanted to update you on what’s going on in my mad world. First of all, I am back to work (sucks) so my writing time has been severely limited. I’ve been trying to get back into a routine but it’s taking a little time. I finally had a chance to read through a chapter or two of “One in Every Family” so I could get the next chapter out, but that chapter is not finished.

Secondly (is that even a word? It looks so weird to me), I uploaded ‘All the Wrong Reasons’, ‘Rough Waters’, and ‘In My Father’s Shadow’ on Smashwords so they are available on Nook (love the Nook – I have one) and several other e-readers. I will put a link up sometime today.

Thirdly, since I’ve broken down and started posting on FP again, I think I’m just going to post stuff from the stories that are available on Kindle, lulu, Smashwords, etc. here. For example, I have started a rewrite of Jamie’s story (there will be a new title for that one) and I think I’ll post the first two chapters here. And, I’m going to post a couple chapters of RJ’s story, Robby’s story, and Parker’s stories. ‘Calming Seas’ and ‘Three and O’ will be posted on FP.

Okay, so have I totally confused you, yet? I’ve somewhat confused myself – but that’s a given.

Another thing – I’m going to try to start tagging posts to hopefully create more traffic. Problem is that I’m totally stupid about that stuff. I’m not much of a computer person. I just like to write and post and that’s about the extent of it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I really, really want to finish ‘Calming Seas’ and ‘One in Every Family’ so I’m going to focus on those two stories. Hope to have at least ‘Family’ completed by the end of the month.

Out of the Shadow update…and a little more.

Out of the Shadow is now available on Kindle.  yay!

Also, I’m working on a rewrite of Jamie’s story which I hope to have up next.  I’m also trying to finish One in Every Family and Calming Seas.

The bad news though – I went back to work this week so my writing time is going to be limited.  But I am on a roll so let’s hope it keeps going!

Out of the Shadow

Out of the Shadow is now on Lulu.  Yay!  I have to upload it to Kindle still and it usually takes 24 hours for it to be available so watch for it.  I’ll post on Facebook and Twitter when Out of the Shadow is on Kindle.

Next on the agenda, besides updating One in Every Family, is the rewrite of Jamie’s story.  I started it awhile ago and just need to get back to it.
